Happy Birthdays and Bird Days

Yesterday was Mostyns birthday! He is now 10! We started the morning with Scott taking Mostyn to McDonalds for breakfast. Hawk was going to go too, but puked right before they left. Lovely! Then after breakfast, Mostyns stomach wasn't feeling so good, so both boys stayed home from school. By the afternoon, when Mostyn had opened the video game his dad had gotten him, both boys seemed to be feeling much better. Other gifts included accessories for his Wii, and of course, a Captain EO shirt from Disneyland. We finished up the day with root beer floats and brownies.
But, Mostyn wasn't the only one celebrating his birthday yesterday... Our little baby birds hatched. They are so cute, and yet so ugly at the same time!

Test blogging from my phone

-Lets see how this goes. Hopefully you can see a picture of a cute little bird in her nest. She has 3 eggs in there. We check daily to see if her new little ones have arrived. The nest is in one of our bushes in our front yard.

There should be a second picture of some yummy easter nests I made for a special project that I will have to share another time. I had some left overs, so I sent this one to school in Hawkins lunchbox.

Better late than never

I know, I know, I never update my blog. As the kids get older, it seems life gets more hectic. Here is a video that my amazing husband put together of our time at Disneyland this summer. We had a blast and I can't wait to go back. Hopefully, I will start blogging more after this.

Say hello to my little friend

This little dude was hanging out on the wall of our back porch the other night. I say little, but he was actually pretty good size. At least 12 inches long! The kids wanted to catch him and keep him.... I don't think so!

I am trying to play catch up on my blog. Be sure to check out the two other posts after this one.

The family that shoots together....

Mr. S took us all out shooting the other day. Hawkins was really excited. He wore the safety glasses as we drove out in the desert to find a place to shoot. I can't believe I didn't get any pics of him with the gun. I am so mad at myself for that.

Claire did not want to go. I told her that the girls could stay in the car while the boys shoot. After watching the fellas do their thang, she decided to give it a try. After that she didn't want to stop!
Mostyn has actually been to the shooting range with his dad back in Boise, so he is a pro. Sort of.
This was my first time shooting a gun. I have never been a big fan of guns, but after shooting the target a couple o' times, I was like, "oh baby!" Don't mess with me! Ha ha. That Sprite bottle never had a chance!!!

When little ones sleep....

they look so angelic! Baby girl hasn't napped much the last two days, so I am really loving this pic of her snoozing!

I want to take this pic of Hawk sleeping and blow it up to poster size and hang it on my ceiling. He looks like a little cherub. He actually is wearing shorts.... really short shorts. LOL
